New BTS Samrong Station, Bangkok, Thailand and Stairway to Imperial World -

 Explored the latest BTS Station at Samrong,(BTS from Bearing free until the end of April)... Disembarks at Samrong Nua Police Station. . New design concept with platforms in the center, similar to Siam Station. Escalators galore and a long long long long elevated walkway across Khlong Samrong to Imperial World (still quite a few empty store spaces) and Big C. 4th floor has a really good Food Court ( English language menus, good variety and SUSHI !!!) along with electronics and gadget stores to rival MBK and Pantip. 5th floor is a large Major Cineplex. Entire mall is scattered with the standard selection of McDonalds, Black Canyon Coffee, et al. At street level on, both sides, is Lamcharoen Market with gadget, luggage, clothes and food stalls. The Erawan Museum (REALLY BIG 3 story tall, 3 headed elephant) is a little over 2 Kilometers away on Sukhumvit. The three stories inside the elephant contain antiquities and priceless collections of ancient religious objects. Highly photogenic and cameras are allowed. Crocodile Farm is a short 10 Kilometer taxi ride south and Muang Boran (Ancient City) an additional 3 km. I am still trying to get an accurate read on bicycle rental at Muang Boran. Samat Prakan just got a lot more accessible.
